Barbeque Nation

Barbeque Nation, doesn’t need an introduction if you are from India. It is one of the most successful casual dining restaurant chains in India, owing to the concept of unlimited food and service at a good price. The menu is an amalgamation from the culinary hearts of different nations.

Barbeque nation launched their first chain in Dubai, Al Barsha and invited me for a food tasting.

The ambiance is rustic and casual, with the sizzle of the grills giving its diners a comfortable and cozy experience.

The staffs are very pleasant to interact with. The service is very quick and efficient. The barbecues are refilled with starters of your choice constantly until the flag goes down. Our server Upadhyay was a gem. He was super helpful and ensured that we were comfortable throughout.

For starters, we were served with Indonesian grilled vegetables, Tandoori mushroom, Honey chili pineapple, and Achari paneer. Achari Paneer was my favorite out of the lot. It was soft, melt in the mouth paneer and not the rubbery kind. The spice level was low as compared to the one’s you get back in India which was pretty obvious owing to the multi-cultural crowd they may encounter. However, they readily spiced up the starters, on request.

The non-veg starters included Chicken peshawari, Basil prawns, and Fish. I loved the fish. It was juicy, soft and super tasty which just the perfect amount of spices. We also had the option of tweaking the marination as per our taste with lemon mustard and pepper vinegar sprays.

We were later served mutton birbal seekh and their staple Punjabi tangdi.

We moved to the buffet spread, which didn’t seem to get over. We were spoilt for choice in both veg and non-veg.

There were also live counters for soup, Veg and non-veg grill.

The main course included – Stir fried vegetables, Kumbh Makai masala, Paneer butter masala, Banarasi Dum aloo, Murg hara pyaz, mutton roghan gosh, fish curry and steamed
rice.

There were also a variety of salad, biryani and dal.

My sweet tooth did get pampered at the dessert counter, they had Moong dal halwa, cheese cake, cupcake, panna cotta, chocolate brownie, ice-cream, and Kulfi (6 flavors). Malai and mango kulfi left us wanting for more.
