Arabesque,
There were sushi’s and maki
rolls (my fav), and they were just fabulous. I have fallen in love with sushi/maki
that is served with cooked meat and I can just keep eating it forever. There were
crab and fish meat sushi and maki rolls and I generously topped my plate with
it.
Arabesque Market Night at Danat Al Ain
If you love seafood and plan
on going for dinner at Arabesque, then Thursday’s is your best day. They have a
Market night and it’s seafood in abundance. From cooked seafood to raw one’s
displayed on a platter for you to select.
The next section was a
display of seafood, soups, cold salads and it went on forever. I loved the cold
salad’s. Not only were they scrumptious, but they also served as a palate
cleanser for me.
There was another section
completely dedicated to greens and Arabic food like hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh
etc.
The highlight of the market
night was ‘the catch’ as I like to call the display. It was a huge display of
seafood - crab, prawns, kingfish, salmon
were all laid out for you to select and give the chef for it to be cooked as
per your preference.
We waited for the same and
ate to our hearts galore. The shrimp wre perfectly cooked and the salmon was
perfect. You could taste the lemon juice used to marinate or cook the lobster
and it was just juicy and tasty.
We sat for a while post the
feast to pamper ourselves with dessert. Dessert was another display - tarts, crème brulee, cakes, ice cream with
different toppings, Arabic semiya, fresh fruits all eagerly called out to those
with sweet tooth.
The display and presentation
of each section was so beautiful that it pulled us automatically towards it.
And it wasn’t just the display the food tasted delectable as well.
A special mention to the
staff who were absolutely amazing and ever ready to help – typical of what you
can always expect at Danat properties. They were ever ready to assist with your
queries and were always around to serve patrons – Perfect example of how
hospitality is and should be like.
